Sound board FAQ sound assignmentsFAQ:
Q:I want to make a light saber sound how would I arrange my files. A: The light saber effect consists of multiple sounds playing at one time so you would need to split up the sounds that will be constant from the ones that will be on demand. The solution to this is simple. You will need 2 sound boards. The first sound board will have the constant hum on a push on push off switch set to loop. on the same switch you will also activate the ignite sound on the second sound board set to play one time. So when you press the button you will hear the ignite sound from board 2 and the repeaing hum sound from board 1. The only other sound on the sound board 1 will be the saber shut down sound. You should edit the shut down sound to include a background hum so when the shut down button is pressed you also still hear the hum. So on board 1 you would have your files as follows. Sound number 1 play with push button loop (hum sound) Sound number 2 is play once (shut down saber sound with back ground hum) On sound board 2 you will have your saber ignite sound as well as any hum waves, clashes or what ever electrical arching sounds you want. So on sound board 2 you will have just standard push to play sounds with no special features. This process will allow the following to happen in performance. press push button 1 and the ignight sound from board 2 plays once while at the same exact time the hum sound from board 1 constantly repeats. If you instal tilt switches or shock sensor switches you can assign them things like a higher pitch hum sound for the tilt switch or a clashing sound for the shock sensing switch. You can add upto 9 unique clash and hum sounds and control them all with individual switches or even use a special feature of play next to cycle through them. Q: How do I take a large song and compress it to fit on the sound module? A: A compression program such as Blaze media pro will allow you to convert to a highly compressed WAV PCM file that will fit in the Model 4M Sound Board. |
